संगीतकार मदन मोहन, एक लीजेंड
25 जून को संगीतकार मदन मोहन जी की जयंती है। जिन्होने 1960, 1970 के दशक में संगीत की दुनिया में धूम मचा दी थी। मदनमोहन ऑलराउडंर की तरह थे और उसी तरह से उन्होने जीवन भी जिया। सेना और ऑल इंडिया रेडियो में नौकरी, क्रिकेट और फिल्मो में भूमिका निभाने जैसे अनेक काम मदन मोहन जी ने किए थे। 14 जुलाई 1975 को मुंबई में मदन मोहन जी का निधन हो गया। इसके बाद भी मदन जी की बनाई धुनों का वर्ष-2004 मे बनी फिल्म वीर जारा में उपयोग किया और इस फिल्म के गाने भी सुपर हिट रहे।
मदन मोहन जी का जन्म बगदाद में हुआ था। प्रारंभिक शिक्षा देहरादून के सैनिक स्कूल में हुई थी। कुछ समय बाद वे मुंबई आ गए जहां सेंटमेरी कान्वेंट स्कूल में उनकी शिक्षा ग्रहण की। वर्ष-1943 में सेना में सेंकडलफ्टिनेंट के पद पर नौकरी की। सेना से नौकरी छोडने के बाद वें मुंबई आ गए। 1946 में मदन मोहन जी ने लखनउ में ऑल इंडिया रेडियों में प्रोग्राम सहायक के रुप में काम किया। 1947 में उनका तबादला नईदिल्ली कर दिया गया जिस पर उन्होने सेवा से ही त्यागपत्र दे दिया।
एक बार फिर वे मुंबई आकर संगीत की दुनिया से जुड गए। उन्होने 25 साल के केरियर में 95 फिल्मों के 648 गानो में संगीत दिया। जिसमें से कई गाने सुपर हिट रहे। 1970 में बेस्ट म्यूजिक डायरेक्टर का नेशनल अवार्ड फिल्म ‘दस्तक’ के लिए उन्हें दिया गया। जिसका गाना ‘माई री मै कासे कहॅु’ सुपर हिट रहा था। फिल्म ‘मेरा साया के’ गाने ‘नैनो में बदरा छाए’ और ‘दुल्हन एक रात की’ के गाने ‘मैने रंग ली आज चुनरिया’, फिल्म अनपढ( 1962) के लिए आंध्रप्रदेश फिल्म जर्नलिस्ट अवार्ड, फिल्म दिल की राहें (1973) के लिए यूपी फिल्म जर्नलिस्ट अवार्ड दिया गया।

अपने कैरियर के प्रारंभ में मदनमोहन जी ने एस.डी. बर्मन, श्याम सुंदर, सी रामचंद्र जैसे संगीतकारों के साथ सहायक के रुप में काम किया संगीतकार नौशाद मदनमोहन के गीत ‘आपकी नजरों ने समझा प्यार के काबिल’ पर फिदा हो गए थे। लता मंगेशकर भी उनके संगीत से प्रभावित थी और उन्हे गजलों का बादशाह कह कर संबोधित करती थी।
1965 में देशभक्ति पर बनी फिल्म हकीकत का गीत ‘कर चले हम जानो तन साथियों’ का संगीत निर्देशन भी मदन मोहन जी का था। उनके निधन के बाद 1975 में ही दो फिल्में लैला मजनूं और मौसम रिलीज हुई थी। इन दोनो फिल्मो के गाने सुपरहिट हुए थे।
मदनमोहन के निधन के लगभग 29 साल बाद उनकी बनाई धुनों का उपयोग सुपरहिट फिल्म वीर जारा में किया गया है। उनके पुत्र संजीव कोहली ने यश चोपडा को अपने पिता की तैयार 30 धुने सुनाई और इसमें से आठ का उपयोग वीर जारा में किया गया है।
